Number3
March 1999

In This Issue . . .

MEC Chairman Chris Beebe’s article "A Line Pilots’ Association" discusses the democratic process within our union and how important it is for pilots to talk about issues with their reps and get involved.  Central Air Safety Committee Chairman John Cox’s article, "LAHSO —The Final Update," reviews the success of ALPA’s stand on LAHSO’s safety standards, and what will be implemented on March 12.  Interim Grievance Committee Chairman Doug Mowery’s article, "Illegal Rescheduling," provides examples of illegal rescheduling requests and how to handle one if you are asked to do so by Scheduling. The article also provides an update on the Section 25 (F) Rescheduling grievance and the MEC’s grievance on the Company’s drug and alcohol testing policy.
